Underdog Winner at K9 Golf Event

The SOS K9 Annual Golf Outing is a tournament held annually to support the K9 Program. This hole in one contest was sponsored by our partners at Witt Ford LLC, who are always looking for ways to help in their community.

On a hot and humid day in August, at the Golden Sands Golf Community, Dean Mauel got up to hole # 8 at the SOS K9. Dean has been golfing for about 30 years and currently plays about two times a week.

It was Dean’s lucky hole that day.  Dean had a perfect hit, it landed right before the green, went left, then rolled in the hole!  This was Dean’s first hole in one.  He was the winner of the TourEdge Golf Clubs!

Dean has never played at this specific tournament before but is a member at the golf course. He got called in last minute by his friend Tom to play on his team, and he is happy he did!
