Swinging for a Cause: The Max S. Mott Memorial Golf Outing

The Annual Max S. Mott Memorial Golf Outing took place at The Bucks Club in Jamison, Pennsylvania, bringing together golfers of all skill levels for a day of fun and fundraising. The event held each year in honor of Max S. Mott, who passed away in 2015, supports Breakthrough T1D, formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. This year, Fred Beans Ford proudly sponsored the event, helping make it a success.
The outing featured a hole in one contest at Hole 6, with a two-year lease on a brand-new Ford Escape as the grand prize. Golfers lined up, excited for the chance to win while contributing to a great cause.
Ben Drake took his shot at Hole 6 with his 3-hybrid in hand. He sent the ball toward the green, saying later, "I hit a solid shot that went left to right. It landed on the fringe, bounced once, and rolled up to the hole." The ball rolled smoothly into the cup, and Ben had scored a hole-in-one!
Winning the hole-in-one prize was a rare feat, and the two-year lease on the Ford Escape was a great reward for Ben's achievement.
As the day went on, participants enjoyed the friendly competition and camaraderie, knowing their involvement was helping Breakthrough T1D continue its important work. It was a day of good company and giving back, all while honoring the memory of Max S. Mott.
A big thank you goes out to Fred Beans Ford for their generous sponsorship and continued support of the event. We’re proud to partner with them in making the outing a success year after year.
