Hole in One Winner Spotlight

Pictured here from left to right are Selinsgrove Ford Sales Manager, Mike Bingaman; the lucky winner, Brian Warrender; Garrett Benner, Selinsgrove Ford Salesman; and Kelly Kreisher, Development Officer for Evangelical Communty Hospital.

Brian Warrender of Williamsport, PA stepped up to hole number 3 at the Evangelical Golf Classic, hosted at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club in Selinsgrove, PA. The tournament, which was in its 30th year, raised $45,000 for the hospital’s Pre-Hospital Services, which include treatments performed by emergency responders at the scene of medical crises and traumas.

It was a sunny day and Brian was feeling very good. He started playing golf about ten years ago when his friend got him into the sport. This was his first time at both the course and the tournament. He recounts, “I’m not that good at golf so all the holes are difficult to me.”

Nevertheless, he asked his friend to videotape the shot because it could be on SportsCenter later. Unfortunately, his friend did not take him seriously and did not capture Brian scoring his first hole-in-one, while managing to avoid a tricky water hazard!

Even though Brian has played in tournaments before, this was the first time a brand-new Ford Mustang was on the line. Brian has been enjoying his car and said the people at Selinsgrove Ford were “really great.”

Brian was the second person ever to win a car at the Evangelical Golf Classic and he said that even though he doesn’t feel like the best golfer, it only takes one good shot to get hooked on the sport and keep coming back for more!

The team a the Ford Hole in One Program/J. Ryder Group couldn’t agree more. We are thrilled about Brian’s win and congratulate both him and the team at Selinsgrove Ford on their exciting day!
