Hole in One under a Hot Texas Sun

For the past five years, the Canyon West Golf Club has partnered with Ram Country Chrysler Dodge Jeep to host the Annual Mountaineer Classic in Weatherford, Texas, but this year’s outing was perhaps the most memorable one. It was a beautiful day for golf in mid-June, and the hot summer sun was beating down on all the golfers in attendance. In particular, this helped one lucky golfer “heat up” enough to hit the best shot of his life.

George Hutton has been playing golf for more than 30 years but has played at Canyon West only a handful of times. “The course has never been nice to me, that made the shot that much sweeter,” George recalls in reference to his sweet stroke on the 8th hole. “The hole, on that day, was placed in probably the hardest part of the green, right up against the sand trap,” George said, “but I luckily hit it in just the right spot.” George has made only one other hole in one in his 30 years of golfing, but never for any prize larger than “a round of drinks”.

George Hutton’s tee shot was more than good enough, and he was able to sink the hole in one shot for a Brand-New RAM 1500 Big Horn from Ram Country Chrysler Dodge Jeep! He is still in disbelief that he even made the shot, and he is enjoying his prize that wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the dealership and the Auto Dealers Hole in One Program.
