Golfing Glory: First Hole-in-One and Winning Day at Long Beach State's Tournament
The recent outing at the Long Beach State 49'ers Baseball Annual Golf Tournament, sponsored by Caruso Ford Lincoln, turned out to be more memorable than one golfer could have imagined.
On a picture-perfect morning at Old Ranch Country Club, Kurt Nakano joined friends to support CSULB Baseball and enjoy a day on the course. The weather was ideal—mild and slightly breezy, with the greens recently prepped for summer play.
As they approached the challenging 200+ yard Par 3, with a gentle crosswind, Kurt confidently teed off with his 5 iron. The ball sailed gracefully towards the green, drawing everyone's attention. To their collective amazement, it landed perfectly in the hole—a hole-in-one!
"It's my first one ever," Kurt admitted when asked if he has any pre-shot rituals. "Nope! Had a Heineken... then just teed it up and tried to hit the green.”
The excitement was palpable as Kurt and his friends celebrated the achievement. They gathered around the Ford Bronco Sport, the tournament's grand prize, snapping photos and enjoying celebratory cocktails.
Reflecting on the experience, Kurt said "It was wonderful. Very fun and well-organized fundraiser. Once I was able to pick up the car, a very professional and warm experience. Would highly recommend Caruso Ford of Long Beach, CA. Staff was exceptional!”
A big thanks to everyone involved in making the tournament a success. Congratulations to Kurt on his impressive achievement! It wasn't just about winning a car; it was about enjoying a day of golf with friends, supporting a cause, and making a memory that would last a lifetime.
