Golfer Lands First-Ever Hole-in-One at Teamsters Local Union 404 Golf Tournament
Golfers at the annual Teamsters Local Union 404 Frank A. Gentile Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament at the Southampton Country Club were treated to a moment of excitement as Seth Menkel made his first-ever hole-in-one on hole #2.
It was a beautiful day on the green as golfers took to the course, supporting the community through the event. The tournament, sponsored by our partners Ford of Northampton. As part of their sponsorship, Ford of Northampton offered a stunning prize for a hole-in-one: a brand-new Ford Bronco Sport.
Menkel, a member of the tournament’s vibrant field of competitors, took his shot on the par-3 second hole. Using an 8-iron, he struck the ball cleanly, sending it sailing toward the green. What happened next stunned both him and his teammates.
As the ball approached the pin, it took a slight left-to-right turn in the air, lining up perfectly with the flagstick. “It smashed the flagstick halfway up, and then it went straight down into the hole!” one of Menkel’s teammates exclaimed. The group erupted in applause as Menkel realized he had just accomplished what many golfers only dream of—his very first hole-in-one.
With the support and generosity of Ford of Northampton the Teamsters Local Union 404 Frank A. Gentile Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament was another resounding success, raising both spirits and funds for a worthy cause.
Congratulations, Seth! Your hole-in-one was a perfect shot, and your first one will surely be a memory you’ll cherish for years to come.
