A Hole in One Winner at the Grosse Ile Golf Club
We would like to congratulate one of our most recent hole in one winners, Scott Czopek! He was the winner of a 2- year lease of a Ford Escape. On August 6th at the Grosse Ile Golf Club in Grosse Ile Township, Michigan is where Scott made his very first hole in one. This tournament has been sponsored by Gorno Ford for quite a few years.
Michigan is known for unpredictable weather, but Scott mentioned that the weather was just perfect that day. The green looked amazing and overall, it was a great summer day.
Scott has been playing golf for about 3 years but mentioned these last few years, he’s played about five rounds of golf. He played at this course last year for another event. He was invited by his friend Jeff Wayne to play at this specific tournament, and I am sure he is glad he attended! Scott and Jeff have known each other for about 35 years.
The hole in one was set up at hole number 4 at 181 yards and Scott was one of the first ones to go from his team. Using his 7 iron, he swung, and the ball went up in the air. When it landed on the green it landed on the side of the pin and rolled in. Just perfect!
